Our Mission

Welcoming Arms believes in the inherent dignity of all people. We seek to help those in need to experience a fuller participation in society by providing social, economic, and spiritual support.

Welcoming Arms serves over 500 individuals through visits to our supportive programs each month—this number has been increasing over time and is projected to continue to increase as economic times worsen. Fundraising and raising awareness of our programs remains the key to carrying out our mission to serve our community.

THANK YOU!

We at Welcoming Arms are overwhelmed at the generosity and support we have received from the Queen’s York Rangers 2799 Army Cadet Corps as well as the 140 Air Cadet Squadron, their support committee staff and of course the families of both units. On February 15th, they held a fundraising dance, with all funds to be donated to Welcoming Arms.

Well, to say it was a success is an understatement! Through their extraordinary efforts, they have raised $2500 to support the programs of Welcoming Arms. We cannot begin to say how much the efforts of the 2799 Army Cadet Corps, the 140 Air Cadet Squadron and all their supporters have meant to our organization, but suffice to say we are deeply moved and tremendously touched by their hard work. Thank you very much, from everyone at Welcoming Arms.
